27 Throgmorton Street, London is a Grade II* listed building thought to be the work of the architect Herbert Williams. Occupying six floors from basement to fourth floor level, it includes many original features such as the bank vaults in the basement and restored early twentieth century lift cage.
The project included restoration and refurbishment works and a remodeling of the layout, while occupied by The Draper’s Company and their tenant, Abokado to create bright, contemporary offices with full air-conditioning and new lighting throughout. This included asbestos removal, upgraded M&E with additional and a replacement and relocated lift.
The completed building is highly specified with a combination of contemporary and restored features, which includes an outdoor terrace, landscape glazed atrium, green wall, new entrance, new lift, shower facilities and bike storage.
