Wyke Sports Village on track for completion April 2022

The William Birch & Sons team are making great progress on site at the Wyke Sports Village in Bradford, which is on track to complete in April this year.

The Sports Village is the first of three multi-sports hubs to be delivered as part of the Council’s Sports Pitches Investment Programme, in partnership with Sport England, British Cycling and the Football Foundation.

The scheme includes a new purpose-built community hub for visitors as well as providing a permanent home for local sports clubs, including cycling and football and rugby teams, with three new grass pitches, an all-weather 3G pitch, tarmac cycle track and cyclo-cross circuit served by a changing pavilion over two floors with community rooms and external terrace for spectators.

EV charging is included for visitors using electric vehicles and the site is linked to the popular Route 66 national cycle network to allow visitors to arrive at site using pedal power.
