Bolton Wood is one of eight projects we have worked on with Incommunities in the last six years. We provided quantity surveying and employer’s agent services on this two-phased project, which included the demolition of a block of social housing flats and the construction of 64 two and three bedroom social housing properties split over two phases. Phase one delivered 24 new homes and Phase 2 40 new properties.
Enabling works for the project included remediation and grouting and the diversion of services and sewers that ran across the site, while a gabion basket retaining wall solution was used to address the range of levels across the site.
‘We have worked with RPP over a number of years, and within this timeframe we have developed an excellent working relationship with members of the team. They very competently administer the JCT Contracts, undertaking all tendering procedures and subcontractor evaluation, liaising with subcontracting trades, monitoring contracted works and all valuation stage payments and final account settlement. Including the monitoring and execution of any outstanding/snagging works.
As Employers Agents they are integral in working pre planning with the design and project team from the inception of the scheme to completion of the contract ensuing the client interests were always fully observed and protected.
They are always willing to offer insightful advice, which is both fair and reasoned, so as to enable us, as client’s, to make a balanced judgement call during contract discussions and negotiations.
We have also worked with RPP to assist us in cost appraising successful tender bid proposals and see them as an active and long term development EA consultant partner.’
